| China to send trade delegation to Expo-2009 |

BEIJING (March 19 2009): China has assured of sending a large delegation of private entrepreneurs to participate in the coming Expo Pakistan-2009. The assurance was given to Pakistans Ambassador in China, Masood Khan, when he held a meeting with Wang Jinzhen, Vice-Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) here.
The Expo Pakistan-2009 is being organised by Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) on October 23-25 in Karachi. It was also agreed that to hold single-country exhibitions in each other country, Masood told APP on Wednesday. Reciprocating the remarks from Wang, he said that "Chinas success is our success".
It was also decided that the TDAP and CCPIT will prepare a comprehensive annual program for exchange of delegations, participation in exhibitions and organising trade seminars. The CCPIT would extend all-out support for the successful holding of Expo-2009 which is going to be a landmark exposition, Wang told Masood. He added that his country had also participated in Expo-2008.
The two sides also discussed about participation in the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, in which Pakistan has got space for its pavilion adjacent to the China, which will give Pakistan an edge to showcase its industrial and agricultural products and cultural and traditions in best way.
The CCIPT Vice-Chairman assured Masood that for expansion of trade, the CCIPT would extend all help to bring closer the chambers of commerce of the two countries. Regarding trade imbalance, Wang said that Chinese government has sincere desire to reduce it, and the second South Asian Commodity Fair in Kunming is part of this endeavour. Wang also discussed the possibilities to get full advantage from Free Trade Agreement signed by Pakistan and China.
