ISLAMABAD (updated on: April 10, 2009, 23:23 PST): A Chinese delegation headed by Vice President of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) and Chinese Ambassador Luo Zhaohui called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Friday. Shao Kiawen, Vice General Manager CSIC, briefed the President, in detail, about the role of the company in the field and the existing level of cooperation between Pakistan Navy and China Shipbuilding Corporation. He said that CSIC has attained the capability to compete with any of its European competitor company in this field.
The Chinese delegation included Ke Ying, Vice President CSIC, Zhang Yi, Du Gang, Zhu Yong Hua, M. Unira and Xu Zi Qiu. Chaudhary Ahmed Mukhtar, Minister for Defence, Abdul Qayyum Khan Jatoi, Minister for Defence Production, M. Salman Faruqui, Secretary General to the President, Farahnaz Ispahani, MNA, Lt Gen Syed Athar Ali (Retd), Secretary Defence and Lt. Gen Shahid Siddique Trimizi (Retd), Secretary Defence Production also attended the said meeting.
